Men’s Health Matters
In fact, heart disease is the leading cause of death for men in the United States. Did you know that many of the risk factors are detectable, treatable, and even preventable? 70% is controllable through lifestyle!
During our time together at my next event, Men’s Health 101, on Monday, November 11th at 7:00 pm AKST at Juneau Coworking, I will discuss common men’s health concerns as well as necessary lifestyle changes to prevent disease.
The topic of men’s health is essential and shouldn’t be underestimated. With tools to prevent disease, there’s no excuse for not getting the care one needs. Men’s Health 101 will make your healthcare routine much clearer!
Annual Screenings and Tests
This may account for the fact that men have a shorter life expectancy than women. Did you know that heart disease is the leading cause of death for men, accounting for 1 out of every 4 deaths? Half of all men who die of coronary heart disease experienced no symptoms, which is why annual screenings are so crucial.
Health and Longevity for Everyone
Regularly assessing overall health is crucial for reaching optimal wellbeing as many of the top illnesses and leading causes of death are linked to preventable factors. Regularly checking blood pressure, cholesterol, and blood glucose are just a few of the simple screenings you can complete to reduce risk of a wide range of diseases.
My personal goal for Men’s Health 101 is to provide you the information, resources, and encouragement you need to make informed health decisions. No matter your reason for skipping annual visits, it’s time to take control of your health.
During this class, we will discuss common conditions concerning men’s health, various risk factors, and preventative techniques to boost health. Join me to learn which screenings are available and how often to have them done during this engaging class on men’s health.
